Open a College Card
Click anywhere on the card to expand it

Every college appears as a collapsed card showing the college name, city, type tag (Govt/Aided/Unaided), and university.

Read the Cutoff Table
Understanding colours, rounds, and categories

Each branch shows cutoff percentages grouped by category (GOPEN, LOPN, SC, ST, OBC, etc.) across 3 CAP rounds.

Cutoff colour coding:

75.00% High cutoff — very competitive branch
60.00% Medium cutoff — moderate competition
45.00% Low cutoff — easier to get admission
ℹ️
A lower cutoff is easier to get — it means students with lower marks were admitted. A higher cutoff means the branch is more competitive and popular.
💡
Round 3 data is estimated (shown with *) where official data is unavailable. Use it as a reference, not as an exact figure.
4
Eligibility Checker
Enter your % to instantly see which colleges you can get

The gold bar at the top of the college list is the Eligibility Checker. Enter your HSC/Diploma percentage and select your category, then press Check Eligibility.

Each college card will immediately show one of three badges:

✅ Reachable ⚠️ Borderline ❌ Hard
  • Reachable — Your percentage is above the cutoff. Good chances of admission.
  • ⚠️
Borderline — You are within 5% of the cutoff. Possible but not guaranteed.
  • Hard — Your percentage is significantly below the cutoff. Unlikely in this round.
💡
Tip: Hard colleges are shown as faded/greyed out so you can focus on realistic options. Press Clear to reset.
5
Shortlist Colleges
Save your favourites for quick access

Click the ⭐ Shortlist button on any college card to save it. Shortlisted colleges are marked with a gold star and can be viewed together using the Shortlisted tab at the top of the results.

You can also print your shortlist using the Print button — only your shortlisted colleges will appear on the printout, making it easy to carry to counselling.

ℹ️
Your shortlist is saved in your browser. It will remain even if you close and reopen the page, but clearing your browser data will remove it.
6
Compare Colleges
See two or more colleges side-by-side

Click the Compare button on up to 4 college cards. A comparison panel will appear at the top of the page showing all selected colleges side by side — branch names, cutoffs by round, and category — in a single table.

The best (lowest) cutoff in each row is highlighted in green so you can instantly spot the most accessible option.

💡
Tip: Use Compare after using the City + Branch filters to compare colleges in the same city offering the same branch.
7
CAP Round Tabs
Switch between Round 1, 2, and 3 cutoffs

At the top of the results section you will see Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3* buttons. Click any of these to switch the cutoff data shown in all college tables simultaneously.

  • 1️⃣
Round 1 — First CAP round cutoffs. Usually the highest (most competitive) cutoffs.
  • 2️⃣
Round 2 — Second CAP round. Cutoffs usually drop slightly from Round 1.
  • 3️⃣
Round 3* — Third CAP round. Cutoffs often drop further. (* = estimated where official data is unavailable)
ℹ️
Cutoffs decrease from Round 1 → Round 3 as unfilled seats are opened to more students. If you missed Round 1, don't worry — check Round 2 and 3 cutoffs.
8
Year Toggle
Switch between 2025 and 2024 cutoff data

Next to the Round tabs, there is a 2025 | 2024 toggle. Use this to switch between this year's official cutoffs and last year's data.

Comparing both years helps you understand trends — whether a particular branch or college is getting more or less competitive over time — so you can make a smarter choice during counselling.

💡
Tip: If 2025 data for a round is not yet available, the portal will show a notice. Check back after each CAP round result is declared.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions from students
What is DSE and who is this portal for? +
DSE stands for Direct Second Year Engineering. This portal is for students who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering and want to take direct admission into the Second Year (SE) of a B.E./B.Tech programme in Maharashtra through the CAP (Centralized Admission Process).
Is this data official? Where does it come from? +
The cutoff data is sourced from the official DTE Maharashtra CAP 1 and CAP 2 cutoff documents released by the State CET Cell. This portal presents the same data in an easy-to-read format. Always cross-check with the official DTE website before making any admission decisions.
What does GOPEN, LOPN, SC, ST, OBC mean? +
These are reservation categories used in Maharashtra's CAP process. GOPEN = General/Open category, LOPN = Ladies Open (for female candidates under open category), SC = Scheduled Caste, ST = Scheduled Tribe, OBC = Other Backward Class, VJ/DT = Vimukta Jati & Denotified Tribes, NT1/NT2/NT3 = Nomadic Tribes, SEBC = Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, EWS = Economically Weaker Section.
Why does my college not show up in the city filter? +
Try typing the college name directly in the Search box instead. Some colleges in rural or lesser-known locations may be listed under the district headquarters city. If you believe there is an error, please use the Contact page to report it.
My percentage matches the cutoff exactly — will I get admission? +
Not necessarily. The cutoff shown is the percentage of the last student admitted in that round. If you score exactly the cutoff, you are on the borderline — admission depends on your rank, tie-breaking rules, and the number of candidates above you. It is always safer to target branches where you are comfortably above the cutoff.
What is the difference between CAP 1 and CAP 2 data? +
CAP 1 and CAP 2 are two separate admission rounds. CAP 1 cutoffs are usually higher. If seats remain unfilled after CAP 1, they are carried forward to CAP 2 where cutoffs typically drop. This portal shows both CAP 1 and CAP 2 cutoffs within each round tab so you can compare them.
Can I use this on my phone? +
Yes! The portal is fully mobile-friendly. On mobile, use the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-right corner to navigate between pages. The cutoff tables scroll horizontally on small screens — swipe left to see all categories.
